Our history

In 1956, William Boizelle’s warehouse burned to the ground and with it, he lost his manufacturing business. He wasn’t appropriately insured. It was a lesson he never wanted anyone else to have to learn the hard way.

So, he decided to sell insurance, starting out of his home.

George Boizelle followed in his father’s footsteps, starting his own agency in 1970.

Boizelle Insurance Partnership, now a union of the two companies, is one of the largest property and casualty agencies headquartered in the Washington metropolitan area, and one of Erie Insurance’s most honored. Besides taking top place for sales and service, Boizelle Insurance has also won Erie’s award as its top quality agency.

The founding principles of giving clients the very best protection at the very best price possible remain the cornerstone of the way Boizelle Insurance conducts business today.
